Netflix has showcased the Riverdale musical comedy, ‘The Archies’, since 7th December. Ahead of its release, the makers arranged a grand premiere that was attended by all the big Bollywood stars.
Several stars posted their reviews on Zoya Akhtar’s movie on social media. Abhishek Bachchan commented, “It took us back in time. You know we all grew up reading Archies. We were transported back to our youth.” Aishwarya Rai commented, “It was wonderful and huge congratulations to the entire team.”
Katrina Kaif, who loved the movie said, “I think we are all the biggest Zoya Akhtar fans. She is a versatile director. Everything she touches is gold.” Karan Johar was also generous with his praises and said, “It’s everything we wanted to see out of Zoya Akhtar film, and the seven kids are fantastic. Each and every one of them has given brilliant performance.”
The movie is like a high school comedy. Suhana Khan plays Veronica and shines in the role. Khushi embodies her part well, the good friend that has no qualms about herself and every ready to help her friends. Mihir, Jughead is a spectacular performer. Mr. Archies, the heartthrob of the school, envy of everyone, steals the show with his good looks and acting.
A great storyline, where in the kids stand up for Riverdale and stop the town being demolished in lieu of a hotel. I loved the set-up, the costumes but I wish there were fewer songs!
