The movie was a hit and the characters were appreciated.
Ajay Devgn essayed the role of Vijay Salgaonkar, a man pushing his limits to protect his daughter and also his family.

It was termed a outright winner and cinema lovers found the movie very entertaining.
Recently Drishyam 2 Malyalam premiered on the OTT digital platform, Amazon Prime. And it also gained massive appreciation.

Now here is some more good news coming in for movie goers and also movie buffs.
Reports are coming in that Drishyam will have a sequel in the Hindi version too.
Pinkvilla the entertainment website recently reported that film producer Kumar Mangat has acquired the rights for the Hindi remake of the film.
In addition here is more news coming in. Reports also suggest that Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Tabu have given a nod for the film.
The Hindi version of Drishyam 2 will be along the lines of the Malayalam movie. But with changes here and there.
According to the reports published in Times Of India, both Ajay Devgn and Tabu have agreed in principle to play the leads in the movie.
A source told TOI and we quote,
"Ajay and Tabu have agreed in principle to play the leads. The balance cast however is yet to be decided. The paperwork of buying the rights from the original's producer is almost done."
If the news is indeed true then Ajay Devgn, Tabu and the Drishyam franchise fan can clearly rejoice.
On the work front Ajay Devgn is also going to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi.
