Alia Bhatt leads Ed-a Mamma dynamically, the company is now a Rs 150 crore brand.

Alia Bhatt is a multi-talented star. From being a fine actress to a doting mother, she is also a successful business woman.

Ed-a Mamma, her brand, caters to children in the age 2 to 14 years and has been operating since October last year. It combines two things she cares about deeply-our planet and our children. Alia says, “So I decided to create a world that nurtures in children, a love of nature knowing fully well that they will look after what they love. And I plan to do this with what I know best: telling stories. Everyone loves a good story. And at Ed-a Manna, that’s what we do, tell stories.”

Adding further, she states, “Our first offering is a range of thoughtfully designed playwear for children. Ed-a-Manna will also be a series of books and so much more. All designed to help us put our planet first and build a conscious generation, one product at a time.”

From 150 styles earlier, the portfolio now has over 800 options live on its website. Ranked as one of the top three brands on Myntra in the kids wear segment, the brand has carved a niche for itself.

Alia is learning about business and thanks her formidable team for making her dream come true. What started as a small business, is now a 150-crore brand and growing. The clothing is made of natural fabrics that are chemical free and biodegradable. The brand offers organic t-shirts certified by Global Organic Textile Standard.
