The wait is over!! Here is the confirm release date for Alia Bhatt’s upcoming Gangubai Kathiawadi. One of the much-awaited films of the year, Gangubai Kathiawadi is all set to meet the audience in the theaters this year February.
On Friday, the makers of the film announced that Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi will release in theatres on 25th February, 2022. After the delay of many films releases in January due to Omicron scare, films are seem to be getting back to theatres once again.
Featuring Alia Bhatt in the main role, Gangubai Kathiawad is a biographical crime drama, based on the life of a real sex worker mentioned in the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai by S. Hussain Zaidi. The film depicts a story of Ganga who was sold into prostitution by her suitor and later how she becomes the prominent figure in the underworld and also renowned madam of her brother in red-light area.
Alia is portraying the story of Gangubai Kathiawadi and looks promising in the character. Talking about Alia’s performances, the actress has proved her versatile acting skills in previous films. Trailer of the film gathered all the attention for its pleasant visuals, dramatic background music and gutsy performance by Alia Bhatt.
Jointly produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada and directed by Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi will witness her reign in cinemas near you on 25th February 2022.
