Actress Angela Krislinzki has always had the ability and potential to sizzle the big screens. However, what separates her from the majority of her contemporaries is her strong gut feeling that helps her make sensible professional decisions. To talk more about this, the biggest example would certainly be her latest portrayal in the movie ‘Tauba Tera Jalwa’. At a time where many actresses would have their own inhibitions of playing an LGTBQ community character, Angela didn’t just play it on the big screen but also with a lot of conviction and brilliance. The appreciation from critics and her loyal legion of fans speaks volumes of the good work she’s been able to pull off in ‘Tauba Tera Jalwa’ with her character of Rinku and well, we aren’t surprised by even an iota. Reacting to all the love and critical acclaim, an overwhelmed, ecstatic and jubilant Angela says and we quote,
“Well, Tauba Tera Jalwa will always be a special project for me and I am truly grateful to the audience for their happy and warm reaction towards the project. I decided to step out of my comfort zone to get into the shoes of my character Rinku and well, it had its own challenges. Although I had the confidence of doing a good job because I am confident about my craft, I did have the fear of doing justice to LGBTQ community since I didn’t want to go wrong anywhere in the portrayal. However, when a lot of people from the LGBTQ community later appreciated me in person and on my Instagram DMs, I breathed a sigh of relief because there was a lot about representing them correctly. As someone who believes in the concept of love irrespective of gender and religion, I had to get this right and I am so glad I could get it. Thanks to everyone for showering me with so much appreciation and critical acclaim. It only motivates me a lot more for my future projects. Thank you so much.”
On this note, when Angela was asked further about her next projects, she quipped and we quote,
“Well, right now, I am focusing on my upcoming projects. What’s gone is gone and now it’s important to work hard to try and repeat the success again. I am now shooting for my next web series titled ‘Satta’. My new music video ‘Naal Tere Hi Jaana’ was also released and by God’s grace, it has been getting a lot of love. Apart from this, I am happy to be working again with Akashaditya Lama, director of my film ‘Tauba Tera Jalwa’ for another film. It is going to be an interesting multi-starrer film and I am genuinely looking forward to it.”
