Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt filed for Divorce in September 2016, ever since then the duo is fighting the custody battle for their children. The date of the next hearing is set for July 9. Now Angelina has come up with a new battle and seems like the Oscar-winning actress, 46 wants to get it done immediately.
Angelina wants cessation in the business ties with ex-husband Brad Pitt. The actress has asked the court to temporary block orders of the sale from their joint assets. Jolie filed a petition in the Los Angeles court asking a Judge to constrain the order of ATRO (Automatic Temporary Restraining Order) on her divorce. According to the court documents acquired by US Weekly, The lawyer of the actress made the claims that despite finding a third-party buyer for Nouvel, LLC, Angelina is not able to finalize the winery’s sale of Brangelina’s French winery company.
Jolie told the court that, she already has interested buyer to make the deal to sell her stake in the company. The 57-year-old actor is looking forward to unfreezing the assets. The court documents stated that, Jolie is not willing to remain in business partnership with Pitt. The actor is unable to force her husband to buy her out of the equal stake that the duo is holding in the company.
The legal documents of Angelina mentions that, the actress is having the third party buyer, but due to the assets remaining frozen, she is worried that the buyers might back out due to the delay occurs. The request on this matter is yet to get approved by the Judge. Meanwhile, an emergency application that was filed in June, however the application was rejected by the Judge because the legal team of Jolie was failed to prove the “immediate danger/irreparable harm or immediate loss/damage to property”.
Jolie filed for Divorce in 2016, after a heated fight broke out between the duos on a private flight, as the actors and their children were ferrying from France to Los Angeles.
Angelina filed the allegations on her ex-husband Pitt stating that during the fight he has been very abusive towards his then-15-year-old son. After the complaint was file an investigations by child welfare officials were done, but FBI was ended with no charges being filed against the actor.
In May Pitt was granted with a 50/50 joint custody with the former couple’s children. The duo has five children together namely Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14 and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12.
The oldest, 19-year-old Maddox is out of any custody decision.
