BLACKPINK band’s agency ‘YG Entertainment’ recently announced on the 14th that the solo song ‘MONEY’ released by Lisa has surpassed 400 million streaming times on the music platform Spotify.

The song was released on September 10, 2021 and it has been 186 days since then. The agency said, “It is the shortest period among K-pop solo artists’ music that has reached 400 million streams.”

Previously, Lisa has set records of streaming over 400 million times for total 5 songs. The list of songs include ‘Lovesick Girls’, ‘Kill This Love’, ‘How You Like That’, ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ and now ‘Money’.

‘Money’ song belongs to Lisa’s solo album called ‘Lalisa’. Lalisa Manobal, popular mononymously as Lisa, is a Thai rapper, singer and dancer based in South Korea. She is a member of the famous South Korean girl K-pop group ‘BLACKPINK’ formed by YG Entertainment. ‘Lalisa’ marks Lisa’s single album which was released September 2021.

The ‘Lalisa’ album sold over 736,000 copies in its release week in South Korea, making Lisa the first female artist to set this record. The music video received more than 73 million views on YouTube in first 24 hours of its release and became the most-viewed music video in the first 24 hours on the platform by a solo artist.
