Tanuja and her daughter, actress Kajol, will appear as guests on Kon Honaar Crorepati, the Marathi version of Kaun Banega Crorepati, in the near future. During the episode, Kajol said that she had no desire to be an actress. She also stated that all she wanted to do was work a regular job.

“I never intended to be a part of the Bollywood or Hindi Film industry,” Kajol stated on the show, which is hosted by Sachin Khedekar. I had no desire to pursue a career as an actor. I’ve always wanted to work. A job that would allow me to get a monthly pay check.”

Kajol made her acting debut with Rahul Rawail’s Bekhudi in 1992, and has since gone on to star in films such as Baazigar, Yeh Dillagi, Karan Arjun, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Gupt, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, My Name is Khan, and Fanaa. In an earlier interview with PTI, the actor, who has had a string of successes, stated that she became an actor by coincidence.

“I didn’t get off to a good start. My debut picture did not fare well at the box office. I never thought about acting as a profession; it just came to me and I went with the flow. I was always on my toes (when selecting a film) and have always been picky. Working on all of the films was a blast, and I met some incredible individuals.

Kajol was most recently featured in the Netflix film Tribhanga, which also starred Tanvi Azmi and Mithila Palkar and was released in 2021. She is now working on Salaam Venky, Revathi’s forthcoming feature. The film’s release date has been set for October 2021. The film’s original title was The Last Hurrah, but it was altered after filming began.
