Arjun Bijlani began his career in show business on the small screen in the 2000s and has lately ventured into the world of OTT. And now he’s focusing on big-screen ventures.

“As an actor, I want to improve and do films next; I’m hoping and praying that it occurs soon,” Bijlani says, adding that he isn’t concerned about the role’s duration.

“I’d love to have a terrific film offer come my way,” he continues, “and the duration isn’t as important to me as the character.” I believe the character’s strength is more important to me.”

Bijali made his television debut in producer-director Ekta Kapoor’s Kartika before going on to star in films including Left Right Left, Miley Jab Hum Tum, Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, Naagin, Kavach, and Ishq Mein Marjawan. With his web work on State of Siege and Roohaniyat, he broadened his horizons.

While the medium of his work has evolved, his method of selecting only projects that inspire him has not. “I’ve always done things the way I’ve always done them: I’ve taken up job that makes my heart glad.” Now, I’m grateful for the positive feedback. “I hope I can continue to pique the interest of my followers and viewers, and then make them smile with my work,” the 39-year-old adds.

“I have never been someone who gets weighed down by pressure and numbers,” he continues. I appreciate the acknowledgement, but not every day is a wonderful day. I perform best under duress, but it isn’t why I’d spend sleepless nights or stress and worry myself to death. I listen to what my heart is saying and then give it my all.”

As a result, he’s willing to wait for fantastic tales to come his way, regardless of the media. “Today, it’s all about producing high-quality work. “I’ve been in the industry long enough to know that I don’t want to repeat myself,” he says.
