Bollywood actor-singer Ayushmann Khurrana celebrates nine years of release of his debut film ‘Vicky Donor’. The blockbuster film got released back in 2012. He took to social media on Tuesday and penned a heartfelt note as he goes down the memory lane and later thanked the entire team of the film.
Ayushmann Khurrana took to Instagram and shared a picture wearing a black tee that read ‘Vicky Donor’, he wrote, “If I look back now, it seems like yesterday. The year 2012 and now it’s 2021. Coincidentally they are the same jumbled digits. This shot reminds me of composing the like ‘Kothe utte baeh ke akhiyaan milaunde’, I had written this verse of Paani Da Rang while I was shooting on this location, close to Rajouri Garden in Delhi. With perpetual butterflies in my stomach, I shot for this film, playing cricket or football with Shoojit da, post pack up, every single day.”
Further in his post he showed gratitude and thanked the team of the film. He added,“Thank you Shoojit da for being a great mentor. Thank you Juhi for coming up with this benchmark of a script and altering the course of Hindi cinema. Thank you Ronnie da for being the coolest producer. And thank you big bro John Abraham for backing this gem. I owe it to you guys! Thank you Yami, Annu ji, Dolly ji, Verra, Negi ji and the entire team. Thank you universe for realizing my big Bollywood dream.”

The concept of romantic comedy film was set against the background of sperm donation and infertility within a household. The film was directed by Shoojit Sircar and was produced by actor John Abraham. It also featured Yami Gautam and Annu Kapoor in the lead roles.
Talking about his upcoming projects, Ayushmann has started working on his next film, Doctor G. Also featuring Rakul Preet. Ayushmann will be playing the role of Dr Uday Gupta and Rakul will be seen as a medical student, Dr Fatima in the film. The film is written by Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh and Saurabh Bharat and bankrolled by Junglee pictures.
Apart from this, the actor also has several films namely, Anek, Googly, Chhoti Si Baat Remake, Badhaai Ho 2 in his pipeline.
