BLACKPINK is a popular Korean girl band. They have broken many records and achieved new feats. Recently, Lisa from BLACKPINK made her solo debut with her track ‘LALISA’! On October 8 local time, Guinness World Records announced that they had officially recognized two records recently broken by Lisa’s solo debut track “LALISA.”

Just before this news came out, YouTube officially announced that Lisa’s “LALISA” broke the previous world record for “the most-viewed YouTube music video by a solo artist in 24 hours.” This came as no surprise because Lias’s track managed to gain a mind-blowing 73.6 million views in its first 24 hours. This broke the previous record of 65.2 million views which was set by Taylor Swift in 2019 with her hit single “ME!” featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! at the DIsco.

The second record that Lisa broke with her LALISA was “the most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a solo K-pop artist.” The previous record was held by none other than Rose, her BLACKPINK bandmate who also made her solo debut recently.

Additionally, Guinness World Records stated, “[BLACKPINK’s] recent success also means that the band features inside the ‘Guinness World Records 2022’ book within the social media section.”
