Since past few days actor Dilip Kumar witnessed breathlessness due to which the ‘Mughal-E-Azam’ actor was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. For the time being, the actor is doing well and might get discharge from the hospital. Dilip Kumar’s close family friend Faisal Farooqi informed pinkvilla on Friday talked about the health of actor and stated he is doing well and might get discharge in a couple of days. After the actor complained of breathlessness, Dilip Kumar was taken to Hinduja hospital in Khar. In past 30 days this is second time that the actor got admitted in the hospital due to his poor health.

Further, updating on Dilip Kumar’s health, Faisal said, “He is stable. He continues to be in the hospital on doctor’s advice, so that doctor can provide necessary medical attention given his age. The family believes he will be discharged in a day or two”. Faisal also stated that, the actor’s family is very thankful for all the well- wishes and blessing for Dilip Kumar. Due to excess fluid between the layers of the pleura outside the lungs, the veteran actor was diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion. Dilip Kumar was under pleural aspiration treatment, which went successful. Last the when he got admitted in the hospital, the veteran actor had got discharge in five days.

Last time after the discharge of Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu was thankful to the doctors and fans. She had said Pinkvilla that, “The doctors have treated Dilip sahab. Please pray for him, he is alright, we are taking him home. Doctors have asked him to rest. They have prescribed some medicines and antibiotics that have to continue at home. Thank you for your duas”.

Dilip Kumar has gained popularity through his splendid acting in the blockbuster films like Mughal-e-Azam, Devdas, Naya Daur, and Ram Aur Shyam. The actor’s last appearance on the Big Screen was in the movie Qila in 1998.
