After actor Akshay Kumar confirmed that he has been contracted with novel coronavirus on Sunday. A day later 45 crew members of have been tested positive and under home quarantine.  

On Monday (April 5) 100 new crew members were supposed to join the sets of Ram Setu in Madh Island, but unfortunately before joining the set of the film out of total 100, as many as 45 of incoming crew members have been tested positive. The shoot has been halted for now.

 “The team of Ram Setu is taking complete precautions. It is really unfortunate that 45 people from the Junior Artist Association have tested positive and are under home quarantine.” Stated by Ashok Dubey, General Secretary of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) to a leading daily.

  Akshay  took to his verified social media accounts  to inform and wrote, “I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I am under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care.” The actor concluded his post by mentioning,“Back in action very soon!” 

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha will be seen in the lead along with Akshay Kumar. The movie is directed by Abhishek Sharma. The entire crew who were closely working with Alshay Kumar had to get themselves tested for the virus.
