After a delay of almost a year due to the covid-19 pandemic, the Tokyo Olympics 2020 finally kickstarted on Friday, July 23. The opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics was held at Japan National Stadium. On this occasion, Bollywood celebs are cheering for Team India by posting messages on social media. Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Akshay Kumar, among others, posted a message on social media.

B- Town celebs cheer for Team India

Priyanka Chopra shared a picture of herself watching the Olympics opening ceremony on her television. Along with it, the actress wrote, “I’m sitting in front of my TV watching the opening of the Olympic Games happening right now in Tokyo and the mood is somber, yet the moment feels nostalgic. We all know the games are unlike anything we’ve experienced before, with the best of the best athletes in the world competing for the pride of their countries. The arenas may be without an audience, but our cheers won’t stop, no matter where we are.”

Sharing her good wishes for the athletes, Priyanka Chopra Jonas wrote, “Good luck to everyone participating. Know that you are giving an embattled world something to collectively cheer for. All the very best to the Refugee Olympic Team I’m cheering for you!! Your presence sends such a powerful message of hope to the world. Best of luck #TeamIndia! Salman Khan shared a video of himself where he pours in best wishes to the Indian players. He captioned the post, “I join the campaign to support our Indian Olympic team #Tokyo2020. I accept the challenge given by @kiren.rijiju #HumaraVictoryPunch.”

Aditi Rao Hydari took to Twitter to share pictures of the Indian athletes and tweeted, “Sending my best wishes and support to Team India for the #TokyoOlympics stay safe and best of luck. We’re all cheering for you! #Cheer4India @WeAreTeamIndia.”

Kareena Kapoor Khan took to her Instagram handle to share a video of the Indian athletes from the airport. Captioning it, she wrote, “To the largest-ever Indian contingent, wishing you all lots of luck! #Olympics #Tokyo2020 #Cheer4India.”

Singer AR Rahman tweeted, “Wishing our Olympians all the very best #cheer4india #hindustaniway @ananya_birla.”

Akshay Kumar shared a video and wrote, “Thank you Anurag Ji for nominating me. I’m cheering for Team India at the #Tokyo2020 Olympics. Are you?”
