Presently, Mallika Sherawat is advertising her forthcoming movie RK/RKay. In a recent interview, Mallika discussed her Bollywood career and how, in 2005, Jackie Chan’s Chinese Film the Myth gave her her worldwide acting debut. She disclosed during the discussion of the movie that Jackie had shown him the recordings of other Bollywood actors who had applied for the part.
With Mahesh Bhatt’s romantic suspense film Murder from 2004, Mallika Sherawat gained notoriety. She made her international debut in Jackie Chan’s Chinese Movie the Myth the following year.
Mallika recounted her The Myth audition in an interview with Mashable India. She remarked, “I won the part after an audition, and I’m really glad to report that he put every Bollywood actress up for a test. So, all of these actresses are saying, “Hum toh kabhi audition nahi karti,” and “Woh sab jhooth bol rahi hain,” respectively (So all these female actors who claim that they never went for the audition are lying). I’ve watched their interviews. Jackie showed me the videos of their auditions. They cherished me.
She praised Jackie Chan, saying, “He’s a lovely man. Wonderfully beneficial. He helped me get jobs in Hollywood. He was a great help to me. I made the worst choice of my life when I opted to do all the action for the movie after receiving Myth.
Rajat Kapoor, Kubbra Sait, Ranvir Shorey, Manu Rishi Chadha, Chandrachoor Rai, Abhijeet Deshpande, Abhishek Sharrma, Grace Girdhar, and Vaishali Malhara all have significant parts in Mallika’s forthcoming movie RK/RKay. Several major film festivals, including the Shanghai International Film Festival, the River-to-River Festival in Florence, the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, the Austin Film Festival, and the Pune International Film Festival have previously screened and praised the movie. The release date is July 22.
