Dynamite was released back in 2020. Ever since its release, it has broken more records than we can count. Dynamite made BTS known to everyone who doesn’t live under a rock. Now, it has made its way into Rolling Stone‘s list of “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time”!
Rolling Stone recently released this highly awaited list which is a revamped model of their original 2004 list of songs. Having spent 17 years, Rolling Stone gathered over 250 artists, musicians, and producers, and also included figures from the music industry, and leading critics and journalists as well, to form a more updated list of their top 500 songs!
Over 4000 songs were voted upon and the result pleased Army as the votes helped BTS’s “Dynamite” and placed it #364 on the list!
Rolling stone said, “BTS’ first-ever U.S. Number One, as well as their first full English-language song, “Dynamite” was a landmark, hegemony-shattering moment for the world-conquering South Korean group. Their intertwined vocal talent, led by youthful standout Jung Kook, put over the track — which was co-written by British producer-songwriter Dave Stewart (not the one from Eurythmics) and Jessica Agombar. Stewart told Rolling Stone that Columbia Records had been looking for an English-language crossover hit for BTS: ‘It had to have tempo, be exciting.… one thing I’m good at is writing to brief.’”
