BTS will accept awards for Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture from South Korean President Moon Jae-in at the Blue House.

BTS, the K-pop phenomenon, will visit South Korean President Moon Jae-in in the Blue House for the second time. BTS will receive their certificate of appointment as Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture from President Moon Jae at the Blue House. The band was named Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture earlier this month and will get the certificate in the coming days at a ceremonial occasion.

According to K-pop Post, South Korean President Moon Jae-in has formally appointed the band as the Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture. As a result, on September 14, BTS will attend a ceremonial ceremony at the Blue House with South Korean President Park Geun-hye. The appointment is intended to ‘raise awareness on global topics, such as sustainable development, to our future generations and to boost the nation’s diplomatic might across the world,’ according to a Blue House spokeswoman.

BTS was named Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture by South Korean President Park Geun-hye in July. As a result, the boy band will be in attendance at important international events, including the 76th United Nations General Assembly on September 21. According to Soompi, BTS stated in a press interview, “We grew up with the present generation of kids. We have observed and experienced the effects of society, such as global issues and a severe economic downturn, both directly and indirectly. We will go, whether it is a general gathering or if there is anything we can do and the strength to do it.”
