Bollywood actor Chunky Panday’s mother Snehlata Pandey passed away on Saturday, July 10 due to prolonged illness. She was 85.
Actor Neelam Kothari Soni, a close friend of Chunky Panday and his wife Bhavna Panday, confirmed the news of Snehlata’s demise stating “Yes, she passed away. God bless her soul.”
Chunky Panday, along with wife Bhavna and younger daughter Rysa were snapped arriving at Snehlata’s residence. Ananya Panday was shooting in Mumbai when her grandmother left for a heavenly abode. After completing the shoot, she rushed to her grandmother’s house. Snehlata’s mortal remains were taken to Mumbai’s Santa Cruz crematorium for the last rites after Ananya paid her last respect. Chunky was seen performing the last rites of his mother.
Earlier this year, actress Ananya Panday took to her Instagram handle to share a picture with both her maternal and paternal and grandmothers on the occasion of Women’s Day.
Sharing the happy pictures she wrote, “The epitome of grace, beauty, perseverance, humor, badass energy and boss woman vibes my Dadi and Nani – Happy Women’s day to my best and happy Women’s Day to all the lovely ladies out there – you are so very special and everything you need is right inside of you. I love you guys u rock.”
