As many as four members of popular Television sitcom show Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah show has been tested Corona positive.
Reportedly, actor Kush Shah, who portrays, Goli on the show and three crew members have been tested corona positive.
Asit Kumar Modi, producer of the show, shared that as per new covid-19 guidelines in Maharashtra state, the entire team was getting intensively tested at regular intervals, when the reports of them came positive. All the four members were home quarantined.
Adding further he said, that as per new guidelines we have to take everyone’s RT-PCR test on the set. So, following the protocol, everyone got tested on April 9. We are following all the guidelines mentioned by the government and if anyone was feeling sick, we would ask them not to come for the shoot. There is no one positive in the main cast and everybody is safe.
Asit further mentioned, that we have not yet decided to move outdoors, for the shoot during the state curfew. The decision depends on the entire team, production, channels and actors. We will discuss the future course of the shoot.
As the government of Maharashtra, have imposed 15 days halt on shoots, few television shows are relying on the bank, while few of them are moving out of the cities like Hyderabad, Bikaner, Surat, Goa for the shoot.
Earlier, Mayur Vakani who portrays the character of Sunderlal and actor Mandar Chandwadkar, who essays the role of Bhide Master on the show were tested positive of novel corona virus. Mayur Vakani was hospitalized in Ahmedabad. The actor was tested positive after he shot for a few episodes of Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. While, Mandar was in home isolation and was following all the safety precautions.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the longest running shows on Television which has completed 3000 episodes. The show has popular names like Dilip Joshi, Sailesh Lodha, Munmun Dutta, Sonalika Joshi, Amit Bhatt, Ambika Rajankar amongst others.
