Matthew Perry turned 52 on August 19 and celebrated his birthday. Courteney Cox, his Friends co-star, posted a throwback photo of the two on Instagram. Her post features the on-screen couple from the hit television show Friends standing next to each other in all smiles as they pose for the picture. Courteney has wished Perry on his birthday by calling him one of the funniest people she knows, but in Monica Geller’s style.
“Happy birthday to one of the funniest individuals “I KNOW,” Cox wrote beside a heart emoji, alongside a touching vintage photo of the duo. We could almost hear her character Monica utter this message aloud while yelling “I Know,” which has become her show’s signature catchphrase.
Cox will be next seen featuring in a television series Shining Vale, and a few days back the actress, 57, shared a photo of herself reading a script from Shining Vale, while lying on the couch in front of the famed fountain from the Friends set. ‘When worlds collide,’ she captioned it.
Along with Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer, Perry and Cox recently reunited on the set of the Friends reunion.
Fans of the iconic sitcom were ecstatic to see Courteney’s post of wishing Perry on his birthday just like her character Monica does. This clearly reflects their off-screen relationship. On the screen, their adored characters Monica Geller and Chandler Bing ended up together and even became parents by the series’ closing episode.
