Deep Money is seeking to branch out into entertainment and become an actor after years of dominating the music charts.
“He is a living legend, he has been here for over 20 years,” he adds of Diljit Dosanjh, who is also a singer-actor. The singer, on the other hand, desires to see more Sikh performers in Hindi films.
“Aaj ki date mein, I know there are few Sikh performers in Bollywood, but I wish there were more.” Diljit is doing so good that he is starring in major blockbusters. Manjot Singh (from the film Fukrey) is also a fantastic performer. You should be proud of your faith. I am pleased to call myself a Sikh. He says, “Aunga toh main turban ke sath hi warna aisa kuch nahi hoga.”
Deep Money does not believe that turban-wearing performers are limited in their roles.
“I’ve never seen anything like that. You must transport it. Good News (2019) by Diljit Paaji was a huge hit. You must be able to carry it. Bollywood is being taken over by Punjabis. No one can stop you if you have potential,” he continues.
The Carrera singer says he hasn’t locked down a project yet, but he’s interested in both the web and cinema worlds.
“In the music videos, people admire my style and attitude. I’ve started my workout and am looking forward to dropping eight pounds and being more fit. I’m excited to work on web series and feature films. “Right now, my concentration is on becoming thin,” he says, “and I may go to Mumbai very soon.” I’ll do something that others will appreciate. I’ll take on roles that resonate with me, and even if I only have one project every year, I’ll give it my all. I’ll also enroll in acting school.”
