The 77th British Academy Film Awards, popularly known as BAFTA, is an upcoming ceremony honoring the best national and foreign films of 2023, will be held on the 18th February, 2024. According to the latest reports, Deepika Padukone, David Beckham, Cate Blanchett and Dua Lipa are among the few confirmed celebrities that will be presenting the awards.
Deepika presented the Oscars last year and this will be another feather in her cap. She posted on her Instagram stories, “Gratitude.” The ceremony will take place in the Royal Festival Hall in London.
At the BAFTA Film Awards, Oppenheimer has received 13 nominations. Dark comedy Poor Things and Martin Scorseses’s Killer of the Flower Moon, has received 9 nominations each.
Hannah Waddingham has confirmed to perform a special cover song during the ceremony, which will be hosted by former Doctor Who David Tennant. Other presenters include David Beckham, singer Dua Lipa, Emily in Paris’ Lily Collins, Adjoa Andoh of Bridgerton fame and Wonka Oompa Loompa Hugh Grant.
The awards will stream live on the Lionsgate Play.
On the work front, Deepika was recently seen in the action movie Fighter. She will next be seen in Kalki 2898 AD along with Prabhas and the movie is expected to release in May, 2024.
