The 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, one of the most anticipated events of the year, began. The yearly festival is recognized for honoring cinema and storytelling by showcasing notable films from across the world to a worldwide audience. This year’s Cannes Cinema Festival is particularly memorable for Indian film enthusiasts, since several well-known names from the Bollywood industry graced the event’s red carpet. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, R Madhavan, Pooja Hegde, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and others are among the celebrities who have arrived at the event dressed to the nines.
Deepika Padukone’s nomination as a member of the jury for Cannes 2022 was a source of national pride for India. The Bajirao Mastani actress recently uploaded a behind-the-scenes video of her first-day preparations before jury call on her social media account.
Deepika Padukone, a Bollywood star, has managed to attract a worldwide audience after dazzled admirers with her gorgeous appearances at past Cannes film festivals. The actor has returned to the famous event’s red carpet, but she will not be going as a spectator this time because she will also be serving as a jury member.
Deepika Padukone released a BTS video on her Instagram stories hours before meeting the Jury members. The Chennai Express star is seen in the video discussing her schedule as a jury member. She claims that she will meet all of the “jury members for the first time” and that they will have an “intimate dinner” after a briefing on the president. She also discussed the tasks she had to complete at the meet and greet. “Day 1 under control,” Deepika says at the end of the tape.
Along with Deepika, the jury includes Vincent Lindon of France, Noomi Rapace of Sweden, Jasmine Trinca of Italy, Jeff Nichols of the United States of America, Joachim Trier of Norway, Rebecca Hall, Asghar Farhadi of Iran, Ladj Ly of France, and many others.
