Dhanush and Aishwaryaa separate after 18 Years of Togetherness

Superstar Dhanush and his wife Aishwaryaa have decided to part their ways after “18 years of togetherness as a couple, friends, parents and well wishers to each other”. Elder daughter of Megastar Rajinikanth, Aishwaryaa is a film director and playback singer.

The actor took to his Twitter to announce the separation, wrote “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better.”

The couple got married in November 2004, and is parents to two sons named Yatra and Linga, who were born in 2006 and 2010 respectively.

Dhanush has worked in Aishwaryaa’s directorial debut ‘3’ and the song ‘Kolaveri Di’ from the film which became a super hit song.

Aishwaryaa, too, shared the same statement on Instagram with the caption: “No caption needed… only your understanding n your love necessary!”
