Shraddha Kapoor, who made her big screen debut in Leena Yadav’s Teen Patti in 2010, has gone a long way since then and has carved out a space for herself in Bollywood.
The 35-year-old actress, who is the daughter of renowned actor Shakti Kapoor, made her big screen debut with Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan and went on to appear in a number of successful films.
While her performance in Teen Patti was excellent, she was most known for her role with Aditya Roy Kapoor in 2013’s Aashiqui 2, which was a box office success.
Shraddha has had some ups and downs in terms of film performance and reaction since the release of the film, but she will be featured in a number of exciting projects in the near future, including a film starring Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor.
While her future appears bright, Shraddha has said that she was offered some quite diverse projects when she first started her Bollywood career.
Something that will astound you is Shraddha’s revelation that following her debut picture, she was offered an erotic film by a well-known filmmaker.
She, on the other hand, stated that she did not want to be in that area and that she had turned down the opportunity to feature in the film.
“‘I saw Shraddha, your first film. ‘Would you want to be a part of an erotic thriller?’ “I didn’t know how to deny him, so I told him somewhat coyly, ‘I’m not going into that zone for now,'” Shraddha revealed in an interview with Filmfare.
Shraddha also said that working with Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who just released the Alia Bhatt-starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi, was a dream of hers.
Shraddha wanted to be a part of Bhansali’s film. My friend Pinto, on the other hand, was unfortunate enough to miss out on it, and it was a terrible experience for her.
“I auditioned for a really big picture before Teen Patti came out. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I worked all hours of the day and night to give the audition my best. However, I did not get the component. I went to my mother and informed her what had transpired when I got the call (about being replaced). Following that, I requested that she leave me alone. I went to my room and sobbed nonstop for three days on my bed.”
