The comedy drama, which is a sequel to the 2019 movie, Dream Girl, was earlier scheduled to release on July 7th. The actor has asked his fans to wait a “little longer.”
Dream Girl, was the story of Karamveer who lands up with a job at a call center because of his ability to talk in a feminine voice. He becomes popular with his clients and he has a trail of fans. Troubles brew when they want to meet him in person. The sequel, Dream Girl 2, is now due to release on the 25th August, 2023.
Ayushmann took to Instagram and shared, “My dear lovers, your hearts will ring again after waiting four years. The preparations for this should also be just as good. So, wait a little longer and keep sending lots of love. Now we won’t be meeting on July 7, instead you will get a kiss from Pooja ji on August 25.”
Teasers of the same have been released. The first one showed Pooja talking to Pathaan over the phone and the second one has Pooja conversing with Ranbir Kapoor a day before Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar released. The third promotional video depicts a funny chat between Bhaijaan and Pooja and Bhaijaan wants to see Pooja’s lovely face.
The reason for the delay is the extensive VFX work, the character requires. The team has left no stone unturned to make sure the character looks perfect. The film is directed by Raaj Shaandilya and produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion pictures.
The movie stars Ananya Pandey, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Manoj Joshi, Abhishek Banerjee and others.
Good luck Ayushmann sir!
