When BTS released their first ever fully english single, the BTS army went haywire with joy. Everyone around the world instantly fell in love with the pleasing aesthetic and sweet melody that Dynamite carries. Within 24 hours of its release, it broke all records and gained 101.1 million views on Youtube.
Now, it has broken yet another record! Earlier, Gangnam style (released in 2012) held the record for being the longest-charting korean song in Billboard’s Hot 100 History but now, Dynamite has taken its place. Dynamite has now spent a total of 32 weeks in the first position on the Billboard’s Hot 100 History.
Gangnam style is now in the second position with 31 weeks in it’s pocket. BTS’ ‘ Mic drop’ is on the fifth position, having spent 10 weeks on the chart. BTS also holds the 6th position in this chart. Their Boy with Luv had spent 8 weeks in the top position. Another song that has the same stats is Blackpink’s Ice cream. BTS and Blackpink have another shared position-8th. ‘DNA’ and ‘Kill this Love’ are in the eighth position. BTS’ ‘ Life Goes On’ is found on the 9th palladium.
