The three-star kids, Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor are all geared up for their Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies.
Ever since Zoya Akhtar has dropped the first look of all the characters on her Instagram handle, there’s been a huge round of cheering from the film fraternity. Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya plays the heartthrob Archie Andrews. Zoya posts, “Meet Archie Andrews, the heartthrob of Riverdale who isn’t sure where his heart belongs.” Navya Nanda and KJO dropped heart emojis.
Suhana plays the cool girl Veronica and Zoya posts, “Sassy to classy and everything in between, the world better watch out for Veronica Lodge cause here she comes.” Karan posted in reply, “OMG! Best morning! The kids look great!! Suhana so excited!” Kareena shared her excitement, “Goooooooooooooo Zoyaaaaaaaa. Best Best.”
And Khushi is….any guesses???? The dazzling Betty Cooper and Zoya writes for her, “She might be the girl next door but she’s not the one to be taken for granted.”
Zoya has prepared the cast well for their roles. They were asked to read all the Archies comics, did workshops, watched films from that era, dance workshops and more. This film is set in the 1960’s era and based on the universally loved (once upon a time) comics Archies. It’s all about love, friendship, heartaches, heartbreaks, reunion and the cool gang of Riverdale. Releasing on Netflix, this one will be fun!
