Following the death of his mother, Aruna Bhatia, Akshay Kumar published a letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a long letter to actor Akshay Kumar on Sunday, which he shared online. PM Modi expressed his sympathies on the loss of Akshay’s mother, Aruna Bhatia, in his letter.
“Humbled by condolence messages on mom’s passing, thanks to all,” Akshay wrote in response to the letter. I am grateful to the Hon’ble Prime Minister for taking the time to express his sincere emotions for me and my late parents. These reassuring remarks will stick with me for the rest of my life. I salute you, Ambe.”
The Prime Minister praised Akshay’s parents for raising a boy like him in his letter. ‘One of India’s most admired and versatile performers,’ he added. He also said that on the day of his mother’s death, he spoke with Akshay.
On September 8, Akshay’s mother passed away in Mumbai. The actor returned to Mumbai from London on September 6 after discovering that his mother had been hospitalized to Mumbai’s Hiranandani Hospital.
On social media, he shared the news of his mother’s passing with his admirers, writing, “She was my core.” And today, at the heart of my being, I am in excruciating anguish. My maa, Smt Aruna Bhatia, passed away peacefully this morning and was reunited with my father in the other world. I appreciate your prayers as my family and I go through this difficult time. Shanti Om.”
