Whenever our athletes win awards it is always a proud moment for all the Indians. Along with the Tokyo Olympics which started on July 23 and India has won the first silver medal in it, there is another championship where Priya Malik has outshone and won a first Gold medal for India at the World Cadet Wrestling Championship. Priya secured the Gold medal by beating Belarus rival Kseniya Patapovich 5-0 in the 73 kg weight category.


As soon as she won, wishes started pouring in from every corner, and even our B-town celebrities expressed their happiness for this win on their social media.
From, Anushka Sharma to Sara Ali Khan, Siddharth Malhotra many other actors took to their social media accounts to congratulate Priya Malik.

Priya has consistently performed well in the recent past. Malik also won two gold in 2019 in an edition of Khelo India in Pune and at the 17th School Games held in Delhi. In the following year, she again won two more gold medals.

Actor Siddharth Malhotra took to Instagram stories and wrote, “So pleased to hear that we have another champion making us proud! Congratulations to Priya Malik for winning a gold medal in the World Cadet Wrestling Championship in Budapest, Hungary.”

Sharing winning pictures of Priya Malik on Instagram stories, Navya Nanda wrote, “It gets better and better.”

“First gold for India,” wrote actress Kirti Sanon sharing Priya Malik’s photo on her Instagram stories.

Kareena Kapoor Khan also shared a winning picture of Priya Malik on her gram stories and wrote, “Another proud moment.” In the same post, she also wrote, “Congratulations #PriyaMalik on winning a gold medal at the World Cadet Wrestling Championship.”

Many other celebs namely Abhishek Bachchan, Disha Patani, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kiara Advani, Arjun Kapoor, and others congratulated Priya for winning the gold medal.
