It’s a secret I believe that there are some women, who flourish in their later years. They seem to age gracefully, look happy, content and have a knack for living.

As per an article that I read, here is what I gathered about these women, these were certain habits that were a part of their regime.

  1. A POSITIVE OUTLOOK- The power of positive thinking, has an immense impact on our lives. Problems are a part and parcel of all our lives, yet it’s how you deal with it matter, its about finding the silver lining.
  2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY- Those women who have been active, seem to be have a clarity of life and better energy. It’s not intense workouts- it may be a simple walk/ yoga/ gardening- just move, it will uplift your mood.
  3. EAT CAREFULLY- Taste or waist? You have to decide, eat mindfully, with gratitude and small portions.
  4. SELF-REFLECT/ JOURNALLING- Self- reflection is a powerful tool, you get a clarity of thought and understand your feelings. sometimes, we are overwhelmed by the events of our life, writing gives clarity.
  5. LIFELONG LEARNING- Age is no bar for learning. Try to add more to your life by pursuing your hobbies, taking a new class, this will sharpen your horizons.
  6. STRONG BONDS- Cherish your relationships. Find time to lend a listening ear, care about your friends, invest time with the right people. This is a lifeline in tough times.
  7. REST- Live life with ease. It is a necessity for physical and mental well-being. Rest refreshes our spirit and mind, and taking a deep breath just slows the mind.
  8. REGULAR CHECK-UPS- Make health your priority, it’s your asset. Follow what the doctor’s say, be proactive with your vitamins.
