Both Kareena Kapoor Khan starring movies, Raksha Bandhan and Laal Singh Chaddha, are all set to release in theatres on August 11. Akshay Kumar said the two films releasing in the same week are ‘natural’ as many movies are ready to hit the screens due to delays caused by the pandemic COVID-19.

Akshay adds, “It’ s a big day. The film is releasing around holidays, the festival of Raksha Bandhan will be around. Due to COVID-19, there are a lot of films waiting to be released”. “Since there are so many movies, it’s only natural that the two films are releasing in one week. It’s not a clash, we are coming together, trying to bring our films to the people. I hope both the films have a good run,” the actor told the reporters.

The movie, Raksha Bandhan, directed by Aanand L. Rai, is the story of Raju Kumar, a sweetshop owner, who is struggling to get his four younger sisters married.

The movie features Sadia Khateeh, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, and Smrithi.
