American rapper and actor whose real name is Earl Simmons and known as DMX (Dark Man X) had passed away. He was hospitalized in White Plains hospital from April 2 in New York where he suffered catastrophic cardiac arrest. The hip-hop star was 50 years old. 

We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, passed away at White Plains Hospital with his family by his said after him being on life support system for the past few days. He was a   “a warrior who fought till the very end”, he loved his family with all his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him, his family stated.

The artist began rapping in early 1990’s and released his debut album in 1998 named, ‘It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot’. He released several albums over the years and was nominated for a Grammy in the best rap album category. His album, “…….And Then There Was X” came in 1999 was one of his most commercially successful album.

He rose to fame into acting career appearing in films like, ‘Romeo Must Die’, ‘Cradle 2 The Grave’, ‘Belly’, ‘Exit Wounds’ and ‘Last Hour’.

Apart from this, in 2003, he published a book of his memoirs entitled, E.A.R.L: The Autobiography of DMX and in 2006, he started in reality television series DMX: Soul of a Man.
