The Black Entertainment Television (BET) awards ceremony took place on Sunday, June 27 in a live show format where the best celebrities from the Music and film industry were honored with BET awards. The big award ceremony was led by Taraji P. Henson, beginning with the ceremony the actress said, “I am so excited to be here with humans; we need each other.” The theme of the year was “Year of the Black Woman”. Some celebs were seen with their mask on while others did not wear a mask.

Taraji further added, “We gonna be Black AF tonight. Tonight we’re also reclaiming our aesthetics, baby hairs, long blinged-out nails, yeah, we taking all that back, gold hoops, bamboo earrings. Our Black men, we want all you all back, because we love you, we see you, kings, and most importantly, we need you.”

DaBaby and Megan Thee Stallion leading their way with having seven nominations. The other contenders leading their way was Cardi B and Drake having five nods. Anderson .PaakBruno MarsChloe x Halle and Chris Brown had four nominations on their way.

One of the eye-catching movement was during the performance of Cardi B, when she revealed that she is expecting second child with husband Offset.

Another highlight of the night was the moment by Lil Nas X concluding his rendition of “Montero” with a steamy kiss. Other celebs with magnificent performance were Megan Thee Stallion; H.E.R.DJ KhaledRoddy RicchTyler, the CreatorCity Girls; and Andra Day.

Busta RhymesMethod Man and actor Michael K. Williams were among those, which paid an emotional tribute to late rapper DMX.
