For a long time, rumors have been circulating that Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s younger daughter Khushi Kapoor would be making her Bollywood debut. It was reported on Thursday, that Khushi and Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan will star alongside superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, in a comic book-inspired film directed by Zoya Akhtar.
In a recent interview, when asked about Khushi’s debut, producer Boney Kapoor seemed surprised. “I don’t know anything about this,” he admitted. “I don’t know what you are talking about.” Earlier this year, Boney had reportedly stated that Khushi will make her acting debut, and he would not be the one to introduce her into the showbiz industry. “I have the resources, but I would rather have someone else launch her because I am her father, and one tends to get indulgent,” he told a leading daily.
“I have the assets, however, I would slightly have another person launch her as a result of I am her father and one tends to get indulgent. You can’t afford to try this as a filmmaker and neither is it good for the actor,” he concluded.
For the unversed, Khushi Kapoor did an acting course from New York Film Academy. In a chat show hosted by Neha Dhupia, Khushi had spoken about her dream debut, adding that she would follow Karan Johar blindly however her father would select her co-star.
