How would a modern day SRK’S Darr look like? Starring Rakul Preet Singh and Pavail Gulati and directed by Nikhil Mahajan, this movie seems like a tribute to the ‘K-K-K—Kiran.’
The story revolves around Satya, a corporate worker and her fiancé, have a flight to catch on Diwali’s eve. They work in the same office and so does Satya’s admirer, Rakesh. He has a pet goldfish named Anjali, a coffee mug with the status ‘Single Forever’ and candies called ‘Love Bites.’
Rakul Preet is a strong, fiercely independent career woman and the first scene where in she is underwater in a pool, is beautifully aesthetic. The plot builds up with Satya wanting to leave the office but can’t get in touch with Akash nor her driver. The lady in distress calls RO, her ardent admirer and he is happy to oblige.
The twist happens when the come across a dead body and several eerie things happen, that change the route of her life. Pavail Gulati’s the villain to look out for. Rakul Preet is the perfect victim and they make a great pair.
A decent watch with a predictable storyline with good technology used. With a run time of 1.5 hours, these office buddies take us through the perils of a night. If you like dark stuff, this might interest you.
