The video has received over 97,000 views and has gone viral. Many viewers were taken aback by the reptile’s vibrant colours and wished they could have one as a pet.

A colourful chameleon was recently seen in a Carlsbad, California neighbourhood, surprising residents. They summoned a snake specialist to remove the lizard after realising it was not endemic to their region. On social media, a video of the expert, Bruce Ireland, approaching the chameleon has gone viral.

The event occurred on October 11th in the United States, and Ireland was asked to evacuate “a weird reptile.” When the wildlife specialist arrived, he discovered that the lizard was actually a panther chameleon, a desirable exotic pet owing to its vibrant colours. According to Ireland, the chameleon looks “more like a bag of skittles candy than a reptile” and is only found in Madagascar, suggesting that the lizard was an escaped pet.

The video has gotten a lot of attention, with over 97,000 views thus far. Many viewers were taken aback by the reptile’s vibrant colours and wished they could have one as a pet. Others expressed their hope that the chameleon’s owner would be found soon.

According to Ireland, the rescuer was originally nervous while approaching the lizard since he wasn’t sure if it was dangerous. Later, the chameleon crawled up the rescuer’s arm and perched on his hat when he put his hand near it.

The rescuer went on to say that he was trying to track down the chameleon’s owner, whom he has dubbed “Max.” If no one comes forward to claim the lizard, the rescuer intends to adopt him.

This isn’t the first time a film featuring reptiles has gone viral in the previous few days. Across social media recently, a video of a snake crawling on overhead wires in the Philippines went viral. The footage shows the snake, which is many feet long, slithering on the dangling cables while a throng looks on in disbelief.

The mob panics as the reptile falls and tries to save it. Locals then released the snake back into its native environment.
