Grimes’ sense of humour is still intact despite the fact that she is going through a public breakup. After their divorce, some couples split up their assets and property, but her Elon Musk and Grimes are dividing Space between them. Grimes told Page Six via email that, “I’ll be colonizing [one of Jupiter’s moons] Europa separately from Elon for the lesbian space commune.” The witty response appears to be a reference to Musk and SpaceX’s USD 178 million NASA contract to help them reach Jupiter’s ice-crusted moon, Europa, to see if it is habitable. On the planet, there are 79 moons.
Musk and Grimes were reportedly taking a break after three years together, but they were still co-parenting their one-year-old son X A-Xii. As per the reports by Page Six, Musk said, “We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms.” He further added, “It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas, and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room.”
Grimes, 33, a judge on the Fox competition show “Alter Ego,” stated in March that she wants to help Musk populate Mars. “Ready to die with the red dirt of Mars beneath my feet,” She shared a photo of herself on Instagram from the Starbase launch site in Texas. She has also stated that when she reaches the age of 50, she plans to travel to the dusty planet and engage in “manual labour until death,” adding, “but hopefully that can change.”
Musk’s SpaceX Company, on the other hand, is aiming to send humans to Mars by 2026.
