Despite the fact that recognised triggers and physiological factors continue to alter women’s hormones, new study indicates how a sedentary and connected lifestyle is robbing women of their work-life balance and compromising their gynaecological health, according to infertility expert.

Infertility affects around 10% to 14% of Indian couples, according to research by the Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction. It is more frequent in cities, where one out of every six couples seek aid.

After the age of 30, more women are displaying signs of diminishing fertility and reduced egg stores. As more women reach their 30s without having had a child, statistics and trends suggest that delayed parenthood will become the norm. Despite the fact that recognized triggers and physiological factors continue to alter women’s hormones, new study indicates how a sedentary and connected lifestyle is robbing women of their work-life balance and negatively impacting their gynaecological health. Women are more prone than men to become infertile as a result of a sedentary lifestyle or lack of physical activity. It frequently results in hormonal imbalances, polycystic ovarian disease, and weight problems, all of which have an influence on the embryo. The Body Mass Index (BMI) is an important consideration, since being overweight or underweight interferes with egg production.

Infertility can be caused by diseases that induce infrequent or non-existent ovulation. Some of the most frequent problems are Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Hypothalamic Dysfunction, and Premature Ovarian Failure.

Damaged fallopian tubes can also cause infertility in certain women because they hinder sperm from reaching the egg or the fertilized egg from reaching the uterus.

There’s also endometriosis to consider. By generating inflammation in the body and the uterine lining, this persistent illness can harm the eggs and sperm. Infertility in women can also be caused by polyps or tumors in the uterus, birth anomalies, cervical stenosis, and other uterine disorders.

A sedentary and unhealthy lifestyle, along with excessive stress and a bad diet, is one of the leading causes of infertility. Miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy are more likely as a result of unhealthy practices, which can lead to infertility.

In India, the number of infertile couples and fertility treatment providers has surged dramatically over the previous decade.

Infertile couples can now have biological children because to advances in medical technology such as in vitro fertilisation (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and intrauterine insemination (IUI), among others. In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) has proved effective in roughly 90% of instances, and over eight million kids have been born as a result of this technique globally. However, before visiting an expert, make a few lifestyle adjustments.
