Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan beauty who had been making a name for herself in Bollywood, has faced a huge snag in her career. Her significant run-in with the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which has already seized Rs 7.27 crore of her assets in the extortion case against conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, threatens to end her Bollywood career.
Filmmakers have been playing a wait-and-see game with Jacqueline’s career since her problems with the ED emerged. Her parts in Bachchhan Pandey (with Akshay Kumar) and Attack (with John Abraham) survived the scissors because producers were quite certain that her identity would finally be cleared.
Surprisingly, Jacqueline appeared in both Bachchhan Paandey and Attack of the Hero’s Sweetheart, who is slain in the middle of the film. The superstitious film business now blames Fernandez’s ruined reputation for the enormous failure of both projects.
On the condition of anonymity, one of Jacqueline Fernandez’s directors discusses her future in Bollywood. “I’m afraid it’s not very bright.” It’s evident that her legal issues aren’t going away any time soon. Our film business has a reputation for staying out of problems. Bachchhan Pandey and Attack are two of her most recent releases. Despite the presence of major stars, both films failed miserably. Cirkus starring Ranveer Singh and Ram Setu with Akshay Kumar are her latest projects. They’ll either replace her or minimize her function and character.”
Salman Khan, Jacqueline’s mentor and leader, has reportedly opted to keep a professional distance from his Kick co-star, but she is still invited at his parties. Salman, who enjoys mentoring firangi actresses (such as Katrina, Iulia Vantur, and Jacqueline), has opted to remove himself from Jacqueline, who was pulled from Salman’s Da-bangg tour earlier this year in Riyadh.
She is also no longer a part of Krish Jagarlamudi’s Telugu historical drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which stars Pawan Kalyan. Jacqueline had been signed for this extravagant costume play at an outrageous fee, according to reports. But, with her image beset by scandal and controversy, she has been discreetly replaced by Nargis Fakhri.
We now hear that Jacqueline may be out of yet another renowned project, following her withdrawal from a big-budget Telugu film alongside the State’s icon Pawan Kalyan. Jacqueline is reportedly no longer a part of Kick 2, the major Salman franchise that will be directed by producer Sajid Nadiadwala.
