Fans of J-Hope all around the world were concerned after the BTS member tested positive for COVID-19. Big Hit Music, the management agency for the K-pop group, confirmed the news on Thursday, March 24.
After the South Korean rapper confirmed that his quarantine period is ‘finished,’ the BTS ARMY, the band’s fan club, is relieved.
The Permission to Dance singer took to the WeVerse fan community site to disclose that he is getting back to normal and following safety precautions in his daily activities. J-Hope of BTS addressed his followers in his tweet, adding, “You were worried about everyone right?” He went on to say in Korean on WeVerse, “I’m sorry that I’m just offering you pleasantries now that the quarantine period has ended! I’ll double-check the protocol and return as soon as possible.”
Jung Ho-Seok, better known by his stage as J-Hope, expressed his concern for his fans, saying that he believes they will be ‘worried a lot.’ “I’m good,” the Dynamite singer remarked when asked about his quarantine time. During my quarantine, I ate well and slept well.”
For the uninitiated, the 28-year-old rapper was unable to join his fellow group members in Las Vegas, where the band was supposed to play for the prestigious Grammy Awards event, after testing positive for COVID-19 on March 24. Jungkook recently got the virus after J-Hope tested positive.
Jungkook, BTS’ youngest member, tested positive for COVID-19 after J-hope. “Jung Kook was tested negative on a PCR test in Korea, and he travelled for the United States on Sunday, March 27 (KST) in preparation for the Grammy Awards performance,” BTS’ management firm BigHit Music said in a statement. He noticed a small soreness in his throat after landing in Las Vegas and conducted a quick PCR test (COVID-19 molecular PCR test) and a conventional PCR test (COVID-19 quantitative PCR test) on Sunday, March 27 (PT).” “Jung Kook’s participation in the later schedule in the United States will be decided by the local rules on COVID-19,” the agency added, further educating fans about Jungkook’s future performances.
