Jaideep Ahlawat is a brilliant actor yet a strong critic of his own work. The experience of working on Raazi was tough for him and he watched the movie only after Alia Bhatt and Meghna Gulzar threatened him.

Jaideep was in conversation with his Jaane Jaan co-star, Saurabh Sachdeva, when he shared his experience of working in Raazi and that he started having nightmares. He said, “It’s normal to be affected by work. With me, I started having nightmares during Raazi for the first time ever. I never used to have nightmares. But because I was so entrenched in the world of espionage at the time, because I had read up so much on the subject, I got scared. For the first time in my life, I would wake up with a start at night. I would see people running from guns and bombs.” (He said in Hindi)

He hesitates to see his work once done. He further stated, “I watched Raazi only after Meghna and Alia threatened to block my number. I went for the fourth screening.”

He recently appeared in Jaane Jaan with Kareena Kapoor, Vijay Varma and Saurabh Sachdeva. He will soon be seen in the film “Maharaja”, starring Aamir Khan’s son Junaid and another one with Saif Ali Khan.

He is best known for his role in Pataal Lok, for which he received the OTT Filmfare award for best actor in a drama series.
