Bollywood’s most awaited movie had been passed by the Central Board of Film Certification on June 3. It’s been given a U/A certificate and zero audio or visual cuts. The length of the movie as mentioned in the censor certificate is approximately 150 minutes.

However, on June 15, the makers reached out to CBFC and the song, “Rangsiri”, which was released two weeks ago, has now been added to the film, during the end credits. This reduced the end credits by 1 minute 34 seconds. Secondly, the song, ‘Ik Mulaakaat’ was replaced by ‘Nain Ta Heere’, as the makers felt it depicted the critical sequence more appropriately.

Thirdly, a word in dialogue was replaced in the first half of the movie. As a result, the movie is now 148.10 minutes which is 2 hours 28 minutes long.”

Director, Raj Mehta, says he is ‘anxious’ about the release of his second film, as it opens at a time when there is a lot of uncertainty around the box office performance of a movie.

Jug Jugg Jeeyo follows the story of a father and son, who both want to divorce their wives. The movie revolves around love, marriage, relationships, and divorces, so this is mostly a family drama.

Though the director has a hit debut behind him in this genre, Mehta still feels, that the box office is an “absolute gamble”.

According to Box Office India, “It’ s not a huge advance but there is some heartening movement with advance sales and hopefully, it continues over the next 5 or 6 days with this early advance start.”
