BTS and Coldplay just published a documentary on the making of their song My Universe, which they co-wrote with Coldplay. Chris Martin travelled to South Korea for two days to record the song, according to the video.
BTS launched a video titled ‘Coldplay X BTS Inside My Universe Documentary’ on Sunday, which provided a behind-the-scenes look at the making of their newly released song My Universe. Coldplay’s lead vocalist Chris Martin was approached by BTS around 18 months before the song was recorded, according to a video posted on the K-pop group’s YouTube channel Bangtan TV.
“I received a message from someone about 18 months ago. They said that BTS wanted to collaborate with you on a song. ‘How?’ I inquired. ‘How do you think that would work?’ “I didn’t see how it was possible,” Chris remarked at the outset. He explained that the song’s title, My Universe, was inspired by something a buddy said, and he thought it was a “great” title for a song, so he wrote it down.
Chris spent two days in South Korea, bringing presents for the members of BTS and recording the song with them. While RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were all impressed by the vocalist, they were also eager to record the song.
“This song is about us working together to create something new. That’s why Chris came to speak with us in person and recorded with us. “The idea, ‘not alone but united,’ was one of my favourites,” V remarked. “It might have been done remotely,” J-Hope said, “but we could add more authenticity to the song this way.”
