Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut aren’t exactly best friends. Ever since their spat on nepotism, in the Koffee With Karan season 5, both of them have been at daggers drawn with one another. May it be an interview or a social media post, there’s no love lost between the two of them.

Kangana had called KJO a ‘flagbearer of nepotism’ and these remarks had left Karan aghast. Her comments led to a whirlwind debate on nepotism. Kangana had stated quite emphatically, “In my biopic, if ever it’s made, you’ll play that stereotypical Bollywood biggie, who is like you know, very snooty and completely intolerant towards outsiders, flag-bearer of nepotism, the movie mafia.”

To fill you up, further, at the Express Adda session, Karan Johar was questioned if he would like to see any political event on screen and he replied that he is excited to watch Emergency, the biographical drama inspired by the real-life of Indira Gandhi.

To this, an avid Kangana replies, “Really? Change of heart. Ha Ha last time, when he said we was excited to see Manikarnika, the worst smear campaign of my life was unleashed upon me on its releasing.”

She further wrote, “Almost all main actors working in the film were paid to sling mud on me and sabotage the film and suddenly the most successful weekend of my life was turned into a living nightmare for me..ha ha, I am scared now…because he is excited again.”
