Karan Johar shared a video of his mother, Hiroo Johar, on Monday where she is seen in hospital in Mumbai. He called his mother ‘superhero’ and revealed how his mother underwent two major surgeries during the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic.
In the video, when Karan asked his mother if she has any message to say as she leaves for home. In her response, Hiroo thanked the doctors and hospital for taking care of her.
Also, Hiroo confessed to arguing with the doctors, but they still took care of her. In the video, she gave a little speech to thank the staff and he ended the clip by saying, “And the Oscar goes to…”
KJo revealed that his 79-year-old mother underwent Spinal Fusion Surgery and right knee replacement surgery in the last 8 months.
The producer/director also mentioned that his twins Yash and Roohi are waiting for their grandmother at home with a cake and a song.
“My Mother … My superhero! She has had two massive surgeries in the lockdown…. In the past 8 months… Her Spinal Fusion Surgery ( the brilliance of DR BHOJRAJ) and her right knee replacement ( the Genius of DR MANIAR),” he wrote.
Karan lauded his mother for keeping her spirits up both times. “She endured both surgeries with her indomitable spirit and a sense of humor…. She is nearly 79 but has the spirit and zest for life as a millennial does! I am so so proud of her … I love you so much, Mama! Your babies are waiting at home with a cake and a song,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Karan Johar is currently seen as a host of Bigg Boss OTT.
