A day after releasing her debut book, Kareena Kapoor Khan‘s Pregnancy Bible, the actress has taken up another big role. This time, Kareena Kapoor Khan has turned producer. Bebo has joined hands with Ekta Kapoor to produce Hansal Mehta’s next project. Kareena will also star in the film.
On Monday, August 9, Kareena joined for a live Instagram session with Karan Johar to launch her book. During the live session, she shared many details of her personal life. On Tuesday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh has shared a new post, revealing that Kareena Kapoor has taken up the new role of a producer.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “KAREENA TURNS PRODUCER: JOINS HANDS WITH EKTA KAPOOR FOR HANSAL MEHTA FILM… #KareenaKapoorKhan turns producer with a thriller… Collaborates with #EktaKapoor for the film, to be directed by #HansalMehta… Inspired by a true-life incident, the story is set in #UK… Starts soon.”
Excited to turn producer for the first time, the actress said, “Very honored and excited to work as a producer on this film with Ekta whom my family has known for years and of course to be directed by Hansal for the first time. I am a huge fan of Hansal’s films and to be working with him for the first time will be special. There are a lot of firsts on this film and I cannot wait to begin this journey.”
Ekta Kapoor on collaborating with Kareena, said, “Kareena Kapoor Khan is a dynamite combination of star power and talent. We last worked together on ‘Veere Di Wedding’ which was probably the biggest hit headlined by a female star. The second time’s always a charm and I’m confident this one too will excite the audiences. Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena will be next to be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha opposite Aamir Khan. The film is based on the Hollywood blockbuster film Forrest Gump.
