Kareena Kapoor’s ‘The Buckingham Murders’, got a standing ovation at the London Film Festival. The movie directed by Hansal Mehta, shows the protagonist baffing with deep grief, yet is determined.
Produced by Kareena Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor, is inspired by the HBO drama Mare of Easttown. The first poster has been released and it looks intense! The JIO MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, that starts on 27th October, will have this as its opening film.
Starring Ranveer Brar, Ash Tandon, Keith Allen along with Kareena, the movie is expected to hit the screens in March 2024. This the character Kareena has been wanting to play for the last 23 years and we are looking forward to see her in the detective avatar.
Produced by Balaji Telefilms and TBM Films alongside Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa Kapoor and Kareena herself, this movie will give her career a huge jump. According to the makers, the film is, “a moody procedural, is an exploration of grief, our longing for closure, and captures the human cost of our polarized times. The story follows cop and single mother Jasmeet Bhamra, who recently lost her child in a shooting spree, as she transfers to a market town north of London and is assigned the case of a missing child.”
The movie will be released shortly on Netflix as well.
