Maverick filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker revealed in December 2020 that he will be producing a movie about the success of the well-known FMCG chain brand Lijjat Papads. The movie, titled Karram Kurram, was to be directed by Glenn Baretto and Ankush Mohla, who had previously worked with Ashutosh Gowariker and were working under the Ashutosh Gowariker Productions brand. In reality, Kiara Advani had been enlisted by the producers to appear in the project. Now, however, we have learned that the actress has opted out of the project.
“Kiara had first agreed to appear in Karram Kurram. She has now made the decision to withdraw from the same, nevertheless. Kiara apparently doesn’t think the movie will be a perfect fit for her, however, and feels that it isn’t commercial enough. When asked if the producers of the movie will reveal a new female lead for the project, the source replies, “They will surely disclose a new lead once locked, but so far the announcement of Kiara backing out has not been made officially.”
In the movie, Karram Kurram tells the tale of a woman who founded a women’s cooperative group to unite six other housewives so they could support their families. The mahila griha udyog organization has supported thousands of women’s households for more than 60 years. Regarding Kiara Advani, the actress, who was most recently seen in JugJugg Jeeyo, will next be featured in Govinda Naam Mera, then in the Telugu movie RC15 and the Satyaprem Ki Katha with Kartik Aaryan.
