The Tale of the Nine-Tailed was released and was an instant hit. Fans of fantasy romance are floored over the amazing storyline and characters. That is the reason, the k-drama has come back with a bang. It has gotten approved for season 2 and season 3.

However, the original cast was slightly different from the current cast. The original cast included Jo Bo Ah, Lee Dong Wook, Kim Bum, and more. Now, Kim Bum and Lee Dong Wook will come back to take their places but Jo Bo Ah has backed out from her leading role. Representatives from the industry stated to Korean media outlet Sports Chosun on October 27, 2021, that Kim So Yeon will be joining the franchise as the new female lead for Season 2.

It is said that she will play a different role in the series as season 2 and season 3 are set at different times. Season 1 was set in the modern era Season 2 and 3 will cross into Sageuk and the Japanese Occupational Era. It is however not yet confirmed if Kim So Yeon’s character will be reprised in Season 3.

Kim So Yeon is known for her role as Cheon Seo Jin in the Penthouse franchise.
